We empower Plumas County by enhancing the economy, fostering community unity, securing and allocating resources effectively, and supporting community.
Our History
TAF emerged from the community’s response to the 2018 Camp Fire, highlighting the need for an organization dedicated to addressing local challenges, issues and to be a part of the groundwork for the future.
The Almanor Foundation
Expanding Services
TAF has increased its services to better serve the community. This includes raising funds, offering agency stewardship and endowment funds, fiscal sponsorships, granting funds, managing grants, and building capacity to upport recovery projects.
The Almanor Foundation is a 501(c)(3) public charity, EIN# 86-2462099.
RAISING
NEEDED FUNDS
TAS has assisted in raising over $1.4 million for community needs and programs since 2021. These funds have supported a variety of initiatives, including disaster relief and recovery, a local hospital build project, non-profit community news, memorial funds, education funds, community programs, and environmental defense funds
Agency Stewardship & Endowment Funds
TAS has expanded its stewardship and fiscal sponsorship services significantly starting with one fund in 2022. As of 2024, TAF oversees 11 funds and 3 grants for over $630,000. This growth is an example of the increasing trust and reliance on TAF from the community and its non-profit organizations.
