What a Community Foundation Does
A community foundation brings together the financial resources of families, individuals and organizations who care about a specific place and then invests those resources back into the community. At The Almanor Foundation (TAF), we serve the communities of Plumas County by providing financial support through grantmaking, support to nonprofit partners, and assistance to donors fulfilling their giving goals.

How We Work
Raising Funds and Offering Fund Services
Since 2021 TAF has served in raising over $1.4 million for community needs and programs.
TAF began offering fund services in 2022, with one fund. By the end of 2024 TAF has oversight of 11 funds and 3 grants and continues to grow. With increasing demand for services TAF has added the ability to host scholarship, donor advised, and endowment funds along with out traditional stewardship fund offerings.
