TAF has assisted in raising over $1.4 million for community needs and programs since 2021. These funds support a variety of initiatives, including disaster relief and recovery, workforce housing, a local hospital build project, non-profit community newspaper, community programs, and memorial, education and environmental defense funds.

Proven Track Record
TAF has a strong track record of success, having raised and granted substantial funds for a wide range of community needs. Since 2021, TAF has assisted in raising over $1.4 million for projects that include disaster relief, a hospital build project, community news, education, and environmental defense. It has also granted over $1 million for disaster relief and recovery and manages over $630,000 in grants for long-term Dixie Fire recovery.
Addressing Urgent Needs
TAF has demonstrated its ability to respond swiftly and effectively to community crises, such as wildfires. In 2018, following the Camp Fire, the people of the Lake Almanor Basin, without existing resources or funds, stepped up to establish an evacuation center and distribute funds to those in need. The Dixie Fire further highlighted the need for a dedicated community foundation in Plumas County. TAF was granted early 501c3 status due to the emergency needs created by this disaster, underscoring its commitment to serving the community in times of crisis.
Filling Critical Gaps
TAF stepped in to manage resources and ensure their effective distribution as the capacity of county agencies to handle the influx of grant funds for recovery projects declined. This highlights TAF’s crucial role in bridging gaps and facilitating community recovery.
